Here at the National Federation, we strive toward allowing our children to grow up healthy and reach their full potential. We do this through the following:
We provide families and youth with knowledge on current policy issues. We believe that families should have a primary decision-making role in the care of their own children as well as in the development of policies and procedures governing care for all children in their community, state, tribe, territory, and nation.
The National Federation of Families views family and youth involvement in the research agenda about children’s mental health to be essential. In addition, the use of evaluation skills, evaluative thinking, and data are critical and powerful components of a good advocate’s tool box.
The National Federation Training Program offers high quality curricula which have been developed through thorough and inclusive processes with continuous quality improvement feedback loops at every step. Our trainings are comprehensive, outcome-focused and will be tailored to your community’s requests. Attention has been paid to all current details and requirements, as well as to cultural competence.
